Using this website
You are welcome to read, print and share pages from this site for your own use or to evaluate whether our services suit your business. You may quote from it with attribution. What you may not do is copy it wholesale in order to republish it elsewhere, scrape it automatically at a rate that affects other visitors, or attempt to gain access to any part of it that is not publicly available.
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and we do not warrant that every figure on it is current at the moment you read it. Recycling rates, tonnages and turnaround times are drawn from real operational data and are published in good faith, but they describe past performance across our client base rather than a promise about your site specifically. Anything that will form part of an agreement between us will be confirmed in a written quotation.
The content of this site, including its text, images and underlying code, belongs to us or to our licensors. Nothing on it transfers any ownership to you, and nothing on it constitutes legal, financial or regulatory advice. If you need advice on your own duty-of-care obligations, please take it from someone qualified to give it — we can tell you what we do, not what you are required to do.
Services and contracts
Nothing on this website is a binding offer. A contract between us begins only when we issue a written quotation and you accept it, or when a collection schedule is agreed in writing. Until that point either party is free to walk away, and we would much rather you did so than enter an arrangement that does not suit you.
Once a contract is in place, we commit to collecting on the agreed schedule and to telling you in advance where a round is disrupted by weather, traffic or vehicle failure. We commit to handling your waste in line with our carrier licence and our duty-of-care obligations, and to routing it to the facilities we have told you about rather than quietly to whichever is cheapest that week. We also commit to reporting tonnages and recycling rates from weighbridge data, not from estimates — if we cannot evidence a figure, we will not claim it.
In return we ask three things of you. Keep agreed waste streams reasonably free of contamination, and keep containers accessible at the times we have agreed, because a vehicle that cannot reach a bin still costs a collection slot. Tell us before disposing of anything hazardous, clinical, or otherwise restricted, so that it can be routed correctly and safely. And settle invoices within the agreed terms.
Where a load arrives contaminated or incorrectly declared, we may reject it, or re-route it and charge at the correct rate for the material it actually contains. We will always tell you when that happens and provide the evidence — a photograph, the weight, and which stream it came from — so that the cause can be identified and fixed rather than repeated.
Pricing, payment and cancellation
Prices are those set out in your current written quotation and are held for the agreed contract term. We will not apply mid-contract gate-fee surcharges, fuel levies or automatic annual uplifts that were not agreed in writing at the outset. Where a genuine and unavoidable change in cost arises — a change in landfill tax, for instance — we will discuss it with you before it takes effect rather than adding a line to your next invoice.
Invoices are issued monthly in arrears and are payable within thirty days unless different terms have been agreed. Late payment may attract statutory interest, and where an account falls significantly overdue we may suspend collections after giving written notice. We would always rather have a conversation about a cash-flow problem than suspend a service, so please tell us early if one arises.
Either party may end the contract on thirty days’ written notice unless a longer minimum term was agreed when the contract was signed. On termination we will collect our containers within ten working days and issue a final invoice covering services delivered up to that point. You are entitled to request a final copy of your waste transfer documentation, and we will provide it at no charge.
Liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. No term in this agreement should be read as attempting to do so.
Subject to that, our total liability arising in connection with the services — whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise — is limited to the total charges you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss, even where that loss was foreseeable.
We are not responsible for items of value discarded in waste containers. Once material has been collected and tipped it cannot practically be recovered, and we have no way of distinguishing something placed in a bin by mistake from something placed there deliberately. Please check containers before presenting them for collection; it is the single most common cause of an unrecoverable loss.
Neither party is liable for failure to perform where that failure results from events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, industrial action affecting the waste sector, failure of a disposal facility, or legal restrictions on movement. Where such an event affects a collection we will tell you promptly, and we will resume the normal schedule as soon as it is safe and lawful to do so.
